Dr. Siddhartha Ghosh is one of India’s foremost neurosurgeons with more than 40 years of neurosurgical experience. He has performed over 25,000 successful neurosurgeries on the brain, spine and peripheral nerves with a special interest and expertise in complicated brain and spine tumour removal. He has also performed over 100 awake craniotomies.​

Dr. Ghosh is the Director of the Department of Neurosciences at Apollo Hospitals, and practices at Apollo Proton Cancer Centre and Apollo Speciality Hospitals, Vanagaram. He also leads the National Board of India, Neurosurgery Training Programme at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai and is the Chairman of the Indian Chapter of the Walter E. Dandy International Neurosurgical Society. In a career spanning over four decades, Dr. Ghosh has authored over 100 research papers and spoken in over 200 conferences.

Dr. Ghosh strongly believes that the lack of finances should not be a barrier to achieving world-class healthcare. With this in mind, he set up Dr. Ghosh Charitable Trust (Brain Research and Advanced Institute of Neurosciences/BRAIN). Through the Trust, he has performed over 3,000 pro-bono neurosurgeries. The Trust also conducts free medicine delivery, medical camps, several health programs and also offers scholarships to medical students from marginalised backgrounds.
